Introduction note and reminiscences

Since summer of 2003 I have started composing life stories about the times since we left Yugoslavia. My Life Stories, most of them are published in URL: <http://www.cosy.sbg.ac.at/~zzspri/index.html> already. These web-pages refer to a particular subject of my personal memory and/or reminiscences of.

I have compiled the following story titled THE SUDAN or THE GATE TO FREEDOM from the many letters that I found in my mother<92>s bequest. I would not be able to describe the events in such details and with so many facts just from memory. I am extremely grateful to my mother<92>s dedication collecting all the letters of correspondence. There are hundreds of letters written to our parents and families in Osijek and Zagreb since our departure for the Sudan in December 1961.
