Description

We are a research group that focuses on important topics in the field of parallel computing. With a background in linear algebra and numerical mathematics as well as multimedia compression and natural computation, our goal is to parallelize key algorithms in these fields. Current research includes:

• Data retrieval based on LSI (latent semantic indexing)
• Parallel solvers for elliptic differential equations on VLSI
• Eigenproblems, high dimensional integration, multiresolution analysis
• Image and video compression on media servers and media processors
• Neuronal nets, evolutionary robotics and fuzzy systems, ontogeny of robots

We also take part in developing systems for grid computing and building up and extending the local grid community.
