Reviewing and Conference Organization

I am editor of the Journal of Computing and Information Technology. I regularily act as a referee for the following journals: IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, Parallel Computing, Parallel Processing Letters, Journal of Parallel and Distributed Computing, Image and Vision Computing, Informatica, ETRI Journal, Journal of Visual Languages and Computing, International Journal of Integrated Computer-Aided Engineering, IEE Proceedings on Vision, Image and Signal Processing, Optical Engineering, Journal of Systems Architecture, and Journal of Computing and Information Technology. Additionally I act as a referee for the Springer series Lecture Notes on Computer Science and Lecture Notes in Statistics and for several conferences.

I am Co-chair of the ``Workshop on Parallel and Distributed Computing in Image Processing, Video Processing, and Multimedia'' (annualy held in the framework of IPDPS, PDIVM 2000 in Cancun, PDIVM 2001 in San Francisco, PDIVM 2002 in Fort Lauderdale) and have been Global Chair of the EuroPar'2000 and EuroPar'2002 Topic ``Architectures and Algorithms for Multimedia Applications''. I am also Co-chair of the 3rd IMACS Seminar on Monte Carlo Methods (MCM 2001) to be held in Salzburg, September 2001. I am member of the program committee of the following conferences:
