Paris Lodron University of Salzburg
Homepage of the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg. It was founded for the first time in 1622 by Prince-Archbishop Paris Lodron and managed by a confederation of Benedictine abbeys; the curriculum already included a spectrum of theological, philosophical, juridical and medical lectures. Closed in 1810 after the affiliation of Salzburg to Bavaria, a theological section was re-opened in 1850, and from 1962 to 1965 the university was re-constituted; in 1975, additional humanities and natural science faculties were created.

Department of Scientific Computing
The Multimedia Communications Group is a part of the department ("Fachbereich") of Scientific Computing.

Department of Computer Science
For the Computer Science teaching activities, and also for some research projects, we co-operate with the second computer science department of the University of Salzburg.
