Welcome!

I am an assistant professor at the Department of Scientific Computing of the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg.

Since 1996, I am a member of the Multimedia Communications Group (formerly computer networks research group of Prof. H. Clausen), mainly working in the area of satellite communications and reliable multicasting. During that time, I was working and leading several satellites and broadband related projects funded by the European Space Agency (ESA) and the European Community (EU).

Since 2004, I am also a member of the Multimedia Signal Processing and Security group.

My latest work includes research on efficient DVB encapsulations, multicast peer caching, layered multicast protocols and security aspects related to multicast.
